The color of your eyes spray painted this town through my smiles sent unanimously wherever I walked. The dawn to my day. The sunset to my night. My “Good mornings” and “Goodnights”. Here, it stopped. Here, I lost the map to my smile. But not forever.
Fishing poles pray for bounty. Small feet skip across wood planks. Small hands tow their heaviest beach-bound toys with all their might.

Sun hats almost lose themselves to the wind. Eyes keep track of their watches to spare the sight of parking tickets. Young lovers hold hands in anticipation of another predictably beautiful sunset.

This amazing beach and pier is well-suited for the whole family. It is a great place to donate your free time to. Some helpful hints: An easy commute from Long beach, Huntington Beach, Sunset beach, Southern LA county and Orange County dwellers.
Serviced by the 22, the 405, and the 605 freeways. Parking. Free parking is available in the residential neighborhood a couple of blocks away for those that do not mind walking. A free lot on 8th street is available for those that exit the lot by 6 PM. The signs are precarious. Read them!

The lines can be long for the ladies room. Adjacent eateries on Main Street have emergency restrooms for those willing to buy something in return.

I will never return. I said a last goodbye here that I care not to remember. (a long time ago) Why is my terrible memory so selective? Wish I could forget some things by choice. Where are my keys? What is my address? Sound, taste, touch, smell, I remember everything. Ergo, I now hate this beautiful place.

You told me that I could do better. I told you the same. One of us was right. Then I added to the very short list of things I hate, the word “Goodbye”.
