Sorry I’m a bit late on this one, I had the week off after the U.S. Open of Surfing madness and wanted to post this video for those of you who may have missed this insane underwater footage of an 8-foot shark chillin’ down at San O.The video was shot by Chuck Patterson while he was on his Stand Up Paddleboard. He first saw a 9-footer, and then this cute little 8-foot shark curiously came up to check him out while he was standing on his 12-foot SUP.
There’s been talk for years about the two resident great whites down there – named Fluffy and Bumper – who have been spooking surfers for years.
OC Register’s Pat Brennan chatted with Patterson about the experience.
