The second to last stop of the ASP World Championship Tour official waiting period kicked off today, but contest officials opted not to start the 2009 Rip Curl Pro Search in Portugal due to the lack of surf.Surfline forecasters are calling for a pretty solid northwest swell to begin filling in on Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday and Thursday.Meanwhile, the title race continues with Mick Fanning holding down the lead with fellow Aussie Joel Parkinson trailing behind in second and Brazilian Adriano de Souza in third.Contest organizers will reconvene Tuesday morning at 8 a.m for a possible 8:30 a.m start.
