The City of Los Angeles has a population of approximately 3.8 million people and was founded in 1781. Los Angeles enjoys a Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine throughout the year. On average the city attracts over 25 million visitors each year, this is a popular holiday destination with much to offer and is suitable for people of all ages.

Shopping

If shopping is your thing then brace yourself as Los Angeles is sure to please with a huge selection of malls, outlet centres and boutiques to suit all tastes. Some very well known shopping areas and centres in Los Angeles are as follows: The Hollywood and Highland complex, Robertson Boulevard, Rodeo Drive, The Grove, The Beverly Centre, the popular Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica and many more.

Nightlife

The ‘City of Angels’ has an electric nightlife scene that includes pulsating nightclubs, disco-bars, casinos and much more frequented by locals, celebrities and tourist in places like Downtown Los Angeles, Silver Lake, Hollywood, and the world-famous Sunset Strip West Hollywood. It’s a city that never sleeps and is sure to please people of all ages who love to party and enjoy a good night out.

When it comes to dining out in Los Angeles the choice is endless with mouth-watering restaurants and cafs serving the very best in local and international produce. Disney’s California Adventure is one of Southern California’s most popular tourist destinations and for over 50 years, lovers of Disneyland and all things Disney have been flocking to California. No trip to the United States is complete until you have visited Disneyland which is suitable for the young, the old and the brave! Try to allocate more than one day here, if possible as there is much to see.

Dodger’s Stadium Experience the thrill and excitement of a Dodger’s ball game when they play one of their opponents at the Dodger’s Stadium. Sample a traditional hot dog and candy feast while you cheer on the Dodger’s in this amazing stadium. There is also a souvenir shop onsite where you can purchase some Dodger souvenirs.

LA Zoo Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city with a visit to Los Angeles Zoo. With so many animals both great and small, a great day out is assured here. In addition to the zoo there is also a play park, interactive theatre, children’s zoo and a very good bird show.

LA Maritime Museum Learn all about the cities relationship with the sea, how people make a living from the Pacific, the ships that travelled it from times past to today and see the amazing exhibits and much more.

LA County Arboretum and Botanical Garden Slow down the pace with a trip to these amazing gardens full of plants, trees, flowers with beautiful fragrances, lake, arboretum, ducks and peacocks!
