I spent some time growing up in California and loved it. The beaches are amazing, the sun is bright, warm and comfortable and there was nothing more exciting to me then getting out on a surfboard while I was a kid. Things have changed in the years since then but I still love going to the beach, although not always in California, but the California beaches still have a place in my heart.
For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of enjoy time going to many beaches then let me offer you my wisdom with these California beaches that are the absolute best to visit.
Santa Barbara-
Hanging out on Santa Barbara’s beaches is like going to Hawaii. They have wide shores, beautiful sand, surfing, volleyball and palm trees decorate the shore. The best views come from Butterfly Beach, but just about any spot is gorgeous. Swim, grill, surf, sail, it doesn’t matter what you want to do, you’ll love it at Santa Barbara.
Santa Monica-
This beach is definitely a tourist hot spot and is great for those who just love to lounge around on the beach. The atmosphere in Santa Monica tends to be very low-key and laid back. People spend hours just sunbathing, sailing or chilling under a beach umbrella.
Laguna Beach-
This is a fantastic adventurous beach. The city is comfortable and laid-back so you can definitely relax. But when you get to the beach, talk a walk and you’ll probably enjoy watching dolphins play, sea lions make noise and seals goof off. This town has 6 miles of beaches and they don’t allow any sea craft, so the views and picturesque.
San Diego-
My favorite all around family vacation. After spending a couple days enjoying the city we always end the vacation with a couple days on the beach. There are miles upon miles of beaches here and you’ll definitely find one that’s right for you, whether you want to sunbathe, go all natural, or enjoy water activities like swimming, snorkeling, sailing or even kayaking.
