Cades Cove Horse Area – A Great Place to Relax While on Vacation in Gatlinburg

While you are in Cades Cove you might notice that you see horses as the tour begins. Then as you drive along the route and are close to the end of the tour you might be lucky enough to see these horses either pulling a carriage or having riders on them. Either way you are lucky because in all the times that I have been down in this area I have only seen the horses with riders and carriage a couple of times. However, if you remember to stop by the horse area you can have an even better time than if you didn’t stop. Here are some of the reasons why you should stop by the horse area in Cades Cove.

The first reason that you will want to stop by the horse area is that you can see the horses that are here. I know that some people can see horses at any time that they want to, but for some other people that live in cities they might never have a chance to see a horse or other animals other than your normal pets. So being able to see the horses up close is very nice and great to be able to see them.

The second reason that you will want to stop by the horse area is that you can either get on one of the tours that is guided or be able to ride the horses, or you can get a carriage ride with the horses. I know that there is a cost to the rides, but the cost is well worth the money that you will spend taking this ride. I know that just by talking to the guides of either tour you can learn more about this area than what the books can tell you because reading a book about the area is nice and lets you learn some things, but actually being there where the book is talking about is much more educational.

The third reason is that by stopping here and taking either of the rides you can have a relaxing time and unwind from having to deal with some of the traffic that is around in the Cades Cove driving loop. I know that at times driving on the loop can be stressful because of traffic and people being impatient, but this is a great relaxation.

While you might notice the horses standing in pastures when you are on the Cades Cove driving loop you will want to stop at the horse area. I know that the if you enjoy horses you can see them up close, take a ride on the horses and learn more about the area, or enjoy a relaxing time riding the horses. Either way that you do this the horse area is great to be at.
